private lessons

That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you’ve understood all your life, but in a new way.
— Doris Lessing

functional integration®

Private lessons are given fully clothed on a low table. Erin does the work of moving you in gentle, non-invasive ways to invite new learning and more varied options in your sensorimotor system. Lessons are based on the idea that most people function at only a fraction of their capacity, yet we can all significantly enhance our functioning through learning.

I was referred to a Feldenkrais practitioner by my vascular surgeon for neck, chest, and back pain associated with thoracic outlet syndrome. Working with Erin my pain levels have decreased substantially and I feel more independent. Not living in fear of increased pain and always thinking about what I can no longer do is unbelievably freeing.
— Cathy, Lafayette, CO
Erin is a joy to work with and learn from. She is positive, funny, calming, and creative. Feldenkrais sessions with Erin have brought a new perspective on my body, its capabilities, and its patterns. I feel fortunate to have discovered Erin — and the many resources she offers in addition to individual sessions.

free audio lessons

Erin's teaching is unique. She gives you her absolute, full, compassionate attention as you progress toward re-establishing safe, easy, comfortable ways to move. In particular, when you commit to eight or more lessons with Erin, she will provide up to ten free audio lessons tailored to your specific needs, an $80 value.

It's not required to do audio lessons at home, however with Erin you have the option of doing them if you wish. All the movement you do feeds back into your nervous system, whether in private lessons, classes, or at home.

Feldenkrais for me has been life changing. Erin’s knowledge, approach, and teaching has transformed my understanding of how healing your body is a matter of learning how our skeletons work. Erin loves to teach me how to incorporate Feldenkrais into my life, and it’s definitely a new phenomenon for me to go to a session and leave with tools to do it on my own. I’m incredibly grateful that Erin is my practitioner.
— Eryn B., Boulder, CO
In 2007, my back and leg pain could only be relieved by my sessions with Erin. When a necessary surgery left me partially paralyzed, I had to learn to walk again. Over the last ten years Feldenkrais has helped improve my ability to function. Erin explains things very clearly and she has an amazing ability to sense what is going on in the body and gently guide it to learning. Her knowledge and delivery of that knowledge is brilliant. My sessions with Erin have changed my life for the better. With Erin I am guaranteed to always keep learning.
— Paula B., Lafayette, CO

erin's mission

Erin's objective is not to create any structural change or correction, but rather to help you discover new functional possibilities within yourself and to incorporate those possibilities into your life. In a series of private lessons with Erin, you will learn:

  • How to achieve effortless, graceful movement and posture
  • How to recognize when you may be putting yourself at risk for injury
  • How to use a series of small movements to relieve the day’s stress
  • How to move safely and efficiently
  • How to let go of painful habits

Erin has helped:

  • athletes prevent injury
  • musicians save their hands
  • surgery patients relearn to walk
  • stroke victims recover lost movement
  • everyone improve health, well-being, and ease of movement

Please wear comfortable clothing or bring some to change into. It is recommended that you engage in a series of lessons as the effect is cumulative. Combining private lessons with classes or audio lessons can be extremely effective to change old patterns.

Lately when running downhill I find my legs won’t just flow down the hill. They behave as though I have the brakes on and hold myself back from truly running down the hill. Working with Erin in a private session and this miraculously went away. I was able to run downhill with my legs continually turning over.
— J. Hagen, Golden, CO
Erin has always been articulate and sensitive to my needs. Her teaching has been amazingly effective for my fractured ankle. I have more mobility and safety and less discomfort.

book a lesson

I have been practicing Feldenkrais for nearly eight years. I was introduced to it by my father, who lived in Tel Aviv and studied with Dr. Feldenkrais for a year in the 70s. I have found it incredibly helpful in becoming more aware of how I move. Erin is an exceptional guide to giving Feldenkrais lessons. Her knowledge is profound and she shares it with ease and humor. I feel blessed to have her in my life.
— Jeannine F., Boulder, CO

I make all the possibilities available and let you find out for yourself which way to move. There should be no routine anywhere for the human brain so that when you settle on clarity, it’s the best thing that you can do at that moment. However, you should be able to revise it with every change of circumstance and health to the best of your ability. All this without being perfect for anyone else. That is why I am not telling you what is perfect. You will find it in your own guts.
— Moshe Feldenkrais
